On our Argentina trips you will experience the whole variety that this country with its enormous north-south expansion has to offer: From the famous Iguazú waterfalls in the north, to the capital Buenos Aires , known as the “Paris of South America” , to the impressive Wilderness of Patagonia and Tierra del Fuego, with Ushuaia as the southernmost city in the world.
Other possible highlights of a trip to Argentina are the wonderful wine region around Mendoza, the unique nature of the Ibera wetland or a detour to the Valdés peninsula with its very special flora and fauna. Discover the colorful mountains and valleys around the city of Salta in the northwest, with hikes on ancient Inca trails. Not to forget the endless expanses of the Argentine pampas with their traditional gaucho culture.

Best travel time: According to THEMOTORCYCLERS, Patagonia and Tierra del Fuego are best to travel in the summer months from October to April. In the north there is a warm and dry climate all year round, with the nights in the high Andes cooling off considerably. Rainy season in the north from January to March.

On this trip you will get to know the impressive north of Argentina: the lively metropolis of Buenos Aires, the breathtaking waterfalls of the Iguazú and the fascinating, colorful high Andes around Salta.
Day 1: Buenos Aires
Upon arrival, you will be met by your local guide and transferred to the hotel. Afterwards city tour during which you visit the most interesting sights of Buenos Aires, including the Plaza de Mayo, the government palace and the La Boca waterfront. Return to the hotel. In the evening visit to one of the legendary tango shows with dinner and a small tango course (collective transfer without RL). A.
Day 2: Buenos Aires – Salta
Transfer to the airport and flight to Salta. Arrival and transfer to the hotel. In the afternoon, city tour through colonial Salta, including a visit to the High Mountain Archaeological Museum.
Day 3: Salta – Cachi – Cafayate
Today’s journey takes you over mountain slopes and through gorges into the Calchaqui valleys. We continue through the Los Cardones National Park to the small town of Cachi. From here you follow the Ruta 40 through the impressive Quebrada de las Flechas, with its peculiar rock formations, to Cafayate (highest point 3,457 m).
Day 4: Cafayate – Salta
Morning walk through the town. Then drive to Salta through the Quebrada de las Conchas, one of the most diverse red sandstone gorges in Argentina.
Day 5: Salta – San Antonio de los Cobres – Purmamarca
Early departure through the Quebrada del Toro to San Antonio de los Cobres. You drive along the route of the famous Tren a las Nubes (train into the clouds), through tunnels and serpentines and enjoy wonderful views. Continue through the Puna to the huge Salinas Grandes and down the spectacular Cuesta de Lipán again to Purmamarca, a cozy colonial village at the foot of the Mountain of Seven Colors (highest point 4,170 m).
Day 6: Purmamarca – Quebrada de Humahuaca – Salta
Today you enjoy an excursion to the picturesque Quebrada de Humahuaca with its typical colorful villages Tilcara and Uquía to the locality of Humahuaca, which is dominated by the indigenous people. On the way back you will make a stop at the Maimarán painters’ palettes (highest point 3,000 m).
Day 7: Salta – Puerto Iguazú
Transfer to the airport and flight to Puerto Iguazú. Upon arrival transfer to the hotel.
Day 8: Iguazu Falls
Visit the waterfalls on the Argentine side. Depending on the water level, individual falls plunge 50 to 90 m over a length of around 4 km. You can marvel at these roaring masses of water from various viewing terraces.
Day 9: Puerto Iguazú – Buenos Aires
In the morning you will visit the waterfalls on the Brazilian side. Then transfer to the airport and flight to Buenos Aires. Arrival and transfer to the hotel.
Day 10: Buenos Aires
Transfer to the airport.
SOUTHERN ARGENTINA

Indescribable expanses, untouched nature and an impressive wilderness, that is what distinguishes the south of Argentina. This trip leads from Buenos Aires towards Tierra del Fuego, “the end of the world”. You will visit the fascinating glaciers and lakes of Patagonia as well as the wildlife of the natural paradise of the Valdés peninsula.
Day 1: Buenos Aires
Upon arrival in Buenos Aires, you will be welcomed by your local guide and transferred to the hotel. Day 2: Buenos Aires
Day at leisure. Optional excursions can be booked.
Day 3: Buenos Aires – Puerto Madryn
Transfer to the airport and flight to Trelew. Reception by your local guide and transfer to Puerto Madryn to your hotel.
Day 4: Península Valdés
Visit to the Valdés Peninsula, a natural paradise that has been declared a World Heritage Site. Drive to Puerto Pirámides. Whale watching here from July to November (optional). Afterwards drive to Estancia Lorenzo, there lunch and visit to the Magallan penguin colony. Continue to the nature reserve of Punta Norte. Various animals living on land can be observed during the excursion. Return to Puerto Madryn.
Day 5: Puerto Madryn – Ushuaia
Transfer from the hotel to the airport for the flight to Ushuaia. After your arrival in Ushuaia, you will be met by the local tour guide and transfer to the hotel. In the afternoon boat trip through the Beagle Channel with a view of the sea lion island and the lighthouse Les Éclaireurs (excursion and boat trip with other participants).
Day 6: Ushuaia
In the morning excursion to Tierra del Fuego National Park. There you will get to know the bays Ensenada and Lapataia as well as the Acigami lake, whose water color changes depending on the weather. The rest of the day can be used as freetime.
Day 7: Ushuaia – El Calafate
Transfer to the airport and flight to El Calafate. Upon arrival transfer to the hotel.
Day 8: Perito Moreno Glacier
Today you take a full day trip to the gigantic Perito Moreno Glacier. You can marvel at this natural wonder from various viewing terraces. Experience how icebergs as high as a house crash into Lago Argentino with a loud crash. Return to El Calafate.
Day 9: El Calafate
Full-day boat trip with other participants on Lake Argentino to various glaciers. You will see fascinating ice formations that break from the Upsala Glacier and float on the lake.
Day 10: El Calafate – Buenos Aires
Transfer to the airport and flight to Buenos Aires. Arrival and reception at the airport. Then transfer to the hotel.
Day 11: Buenos Aires
Today is at your disposal until departure. Transfer to the airport in due course.
